Covid-19 Updates

11/17/2020

Sunday evening, the Governor made an announcement regarding the newest Covid-19 cases and the subsequent restrictions.

The health and safety of our clients and staff is our top priority. In the months that followed our first shut down, we took the necessary steps to ensure our office could function remotely. Effective Wednesday, November 18th, Capstone’s lobby will be closed to the public for three weeks. The majority of our staff will be working remotely to serve the needs of our clients. You will still be able to call the office and be connected to the appropriate person or leave a message for a response. Our secure drop box will continue to be in service so that you can drop off documents as well as retirement contributions. Appointments will be done via telephone or Webex at this time.

Covid-19 Update

3/16/2020 Capstone Family-

We have made the difficult decision to suspend in-person meetings during the Covid-19 situation. That said, we understand that you still have needs in terms of tax return filings and financial matters. With that in mind, we will continue to maintain regular office hours for the time being in an effort to ensure continuity.
Many of you have scheduled in-person meetings, and our staff may have reached out to you to let you know about our change in policy. We want to make your meeting time with your tax advisor as seamless as possible, so make sure that we have updated phone numbers in our system. Having conducted phone meetings for many years for our out-of-state clients, we can assure you that this process is thorough and accurate. We have the utmost confidence in our staff and process, and want to assure everyone that this temporary change will not interrupt your accurate preparation.
Options for getting your tax return information is as follows. When in doubt, please feel free to call the office for personalized instructions. We're happy to help in any way we can.

1) Mail. We suggest using a United States Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail envelope, which will provide you with a tracking number for your documents. This cost is about $8, and we've had great success with using it.

2) Fax. Yes, we still have a fax machine! Our number is 734.944.1040. Documents will be process as they come in, and you can certainly call the office for confirmation of receipt.

3) Email. We have recently upgraded our email system to reflect the need for additional security measures. You are certainly able to scan and email your tax documents to our attention. The preferred email address for such items is info@CapstoneTF.com

4) Drop off. While we are attempting to minimize in-person contact, we are still accepting drop off tax returns. We have a mail slot to the left of our office door that you can drop documents into after hours, or we have the lobby reorganized to create a more sterile environment.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this causes, but we assure you we are making every effort to help minimize disruption of service. If you need anything that isn't mentioned above, please let us know as soon as possible. As a reminder, we can't help solve any frustrations or conflicts you might have without first knowing about them.
As an office, we are certainly working hard to do the best we can. The trust and confidence you place in us is certainly not taken lightly. We're here for you, as always.
Sincerely,
The Capstone Staff
